The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, also known as LIHEAP, provides financial assistance to low-income households that are struggling to pay their electrical bills. LIHEAP is a federally funded program, which provides a one-time financial assistance for a family to pay their bill. Eligibility for services may vary depending on sources of income and other factors. You need to apply for this program.
