About HUD, HPRP, Catholic Charities

The Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Resettlement Program is specifically targeted at individuals families who are either one at risk of homelessness or two have already become homeless.
However, this program is not suitable for people who are chronically homeless.
This program is only for persons family that can become self-sufficient as a result.
There are many other guidelines/requirements to qualify.

For those who qualify, the following services may be offered on a case-by-case basis:

rental assistance
assistance with payment of utility bills
rental and utility deposit assistance
moving costs
certain motel vouchers
case management

Catholic Charities will send case managers to all Big Bend counties on a regular basis, but all interested individuals should call the Tallahassee intake number and specify which county they live in.
