About Tippecanoe County Temporary Assistance to Needy Families - DFR

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) formerly known as Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) is granted to eligible persons upon approval of their application. It provides a maximum cash grant of $229 per month for one eligible child and needy relative, $59 for each additional child, and $59 for an incapacitated parent living in the home. An eligible child living with a non-eligible relative may be granted a maximum of $139 per month; each additional eligible child in the home may receive a maximum of $59.The full scope of medical services provided under the Medicaid plan is available to each TANF recipient. Services: AFDC; Burial Expense Assistance; County, Tippecanoe; Financial Assistance, Utility; Government, County; Income Maintenance; TANF; Welfare;
