About Northeast Florida Community Action Agency - LIHEAP

The Northeast Florida Community Action Agency (NFCAA) offers the Emergency Assistance program, which helps individuals and families that are struggling to pay their utility bills. The program is called Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and helps with emergency home energy needs. The NFCAA pays directly the utility company whenever individuals/families do not have the financial means and are about to have their electricity disconnected.

Additionally, the emergency assistance program provides other services such as, rent and mortgage assistance, household food purchases, child care assistance, transportation assistance and help in securing adequate housing.
