About North Georgia Community Action(NGCA) - Murray County LIHEAP

To apply, bring your most recent heating bill, most recent electric bill, proof of household income, proof of a valid Social Security number, drivers license or valid photo I.D. and/or documentation proving alien status to your county NGAC, Inc. Community Service Center. Assistance is provided one time per year and is based on the applicants annual household income before taxes. However, tax refunds are not considered income and therefore play no role when applying for LIHEAP.

LIHEAP checks are issued directly to the energy provider and are not given to the applicant. Also, no check can be issued until NGCA, Inc. receives LIHEAP funding from the State. Assistance is provided on a "first come, first served" basis, as long as the funding lasts.

I need to apply for help with paying my power bill. I have tried calling but its always busy. I went to the community service center but there's a note on the door that says do not knock on the door that i need to call instead. Is there another phone number that i can actually get through to someone at? Please help

Can I get help with our power bill it went from 234 a month to 283$ Im on social security and i need help paying it Because of covid.

I want to sign up on the Energy Efficient Program to pay my electricity bill. I have everything you request for documentation and proof. I sign up on this program every year.
